Why We’re Different
The London office of Horton International is genuine
in its claim to be different for a number of reasons.
Firstly, we undertake to project manage
every single assignment to pre-determined delivery deadlines,
so that our clients know when results will be produced
and can plan accordingly.
We commission fresh research
every time we start a new assignment, thereby guaranteeing
that our clients have the most up-to-date market information
on which to base decisions. We do not simply recycle old
research lists or rely on a well-used database. This fresh
research is presented formally to the client, on a pre-determined
date in the form of a Research Report
which gives a detailed breakdown and description of all
the targets we have looked at and provides an indication,
by way of one-page summaries, of the most likely and suitable
candidates to be considered.
In addition to the Research Report, we also provide regular
Progress Reports which aid us
in project managing the assignment and allow our clients
to monitor our performance. We believe in working ‘with’
our clients, not ‘for’ them and we view all our assignments
as a partnership.
We do not claim to work with ‘the majority of companies’
in a particular industry – quite the opposite. We work
with only a small number of clients in any one sector,
thereby allowing us to adhere to a very
strong ethical policy towards our ‘off-limits’
list. We want to offer our clients the widest possible
pool of talent available and this can only be achieved
by having a very small ‘off-limits’ list. We aim to work
with our clients time and again and are more focussed
on building a solid, working, long-term partnership, rather
than any quick-win solution.
